Environment
In spite of the little impact produced by its activities on the environment and as a result of the Management’s commitment to minimise this impact, SIMENSA, in 2004, integrated an Environmental Area within the Quality Area, which is in charge of the global management of the environment in our company.
SIMENSA carries out environmental diagnoses in order to know the current situation of its factories with respect to the environment, and to establish action plans for their total adaptation to the required standards. SIMENSA is currently in a phase of implementation of improvement actions that were identified after the environmental diagnoses were carried out.
As part of this improvement work, AENOR certified (November 2004) the Environmental Management System based on the ISO 14001 standard, which will allow the development and implementation of the guidelines of the Environmental Policy.
QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY:
- Our present and future depends on us complying with all the requirements associated with the product and established by the reference standard, those of the client, the legal and regulatory ones, maintaining the quality of the service and at a competitive price, promoting the maximum respect for the environment on the part of Simensa and its workers.
- Each employee contributes with quality and self-responsibility in their work in achieving customer satisfaction (external and/or internal).
- The planning and execution of production activities or the innovation of technologies within the sector of electromechanics, will always take into account, in addition to the economic, quality and environmental impact as a fundamental part of the business strategy of Simensa.
- For Simensa, compliance with current environmental legislation must be the minimum required; from this perspective we must be attentive to opportunities for improvement such as reduction of discharges, energy saving alternatives or application of less polluting manufacturing processes.
- We consider the quality system and environmental management as a source of present and future profitability.
- Each employee, in the plan of his responsibilities, before the problems must look for the causes and take the actions that eliminate them, and serve as source of information for the effective feedback of the system, including the study of the availability, the actions of improvement, as well as the request of those necessary means as well as of the corresponding formation.
- We must be aware of our role in society to which we must contribute benefits as a consequence of our industrial activity, from a social, economic and environmental perspective, fulfilling the expectations of our sector.
- The measurement of quality and environmental management is established through the achievement of the objectives established in each financial year based on what has happened in the past and anticipating future needs and requirements and having as a final objective the continuous improvement of the quality and environmental management system.
- We must not forget that achieving the economic results necessary for the continuity of our activity is the responsibility of each and every one of us who make up SIMENSA.
- The continuous self-evaluation and improvement of our work has an impact on personal satisfaction and, therefore, on the achievement of our objectives.
